Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe sees Kirby coming back for a four-player platforming adventure. Players can join the adventure as either Kirby or one of Kirby’s iconic friends – King Dedede, Meta Knight, and Bandana Waddle Dee.

As Kirby, players can copy enemies’ abilities and use their power to attack with a sword, wield a whip, and float with a parasol. Players can now also laser-blast their way through levels with the new Mecha Copy Ability that makes a series debut.

Based on the original Return to Dream Land on the Wii, Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe similarly lets players float and fight along with friends on the same system. The visuals have also been given a significant high-definition boost.

For added fun, players can take a break from the adventure and play subgames like Samurai Kirby and brand-new ones like Magolor’s Tome Trackers. These minigames add some competitive fun in between the cheerful action seen in the main campaign.

There is also a new story that will unfold in Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe when Magolor, the interdimensional traveller from the main adventure, loses his powers and must escape the realm between dimensions.

Players can access this new epilogue after clearing Story Mode. Up to four players on the same system can venture through this mysterious realm together, with over twenty brand-new stages to explore.
