Defending two-time champions OG have been knocked out of The International 10 (TI 10) Dota 2 tournament after losing 0-2 to Team Spirit in the Lower Bracket.

OG finishes the tournament in 7th-8th place and will go home with a little over US$1 million. This is the team's worst performance in TI after winning two world championships back to back in 2018 and 2019.

The first game was a closely contested affair. Team Spirit racked up far more kills than OG in the first half of the game, but Sumail managed to keep OG in the lead with a superb performance on Tiny. However, Team Spirit quickly turned things around with several superb plays from Collapse's Magnus, catching out OG's core heroes time and again.

While many predicted OG to bounce back in game two, Team Spirit put up another convincing display and dominated the early game. Despite banning Team Spirit's signature Ember Spirit and changing up their own draft by picking Night Stalker and Earthshaker, OG could not stop their opponents' early-game aggression and lost several key teamfights.

Team Spirit's TORONTOKYO trashtalked OG in the final moments of the game by typing "ez game" in All Chat. It is unsure whether that message was sent on purpose or not. Despite Sumail's Tiny once again leading the pack in gold lead, he was not able to stop Team Spirit's Lifestealer from gaining an unassailable lead in terms of kills.

With OG's exit from the tournament, N0tail, Ceb and Topson's dreams of winning TI for a third time have been dashed. However, several players like Team Secret's Puppey still have a shot of lifting the Aegis for a second time.

Sumail and Saksa replaced Ana and Jerax respectively. The latter duo were instrumental in OG's successful TI run in 2018 and 2019, and it is highly likely that OG will return to the drawing board to revamp their roster for the next Dota 2 professional season.

Meanwhile, Team Spirit's victory against OG means they have secured themselves a place in the top 4, which has not happened since Na'Vi's second-place finish at TI3 in 2013.
