When one mentions Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, fantastical elements like mythical monsters and magic probably come to mind. Those who do not understand this digital card game might even have an indifferent, if not negative, view towards it.

One extreme example of this was shared by a netizen on Reddit, who was banned from playing the game by his parents because it supposedly promoted witchcraft and demon-worshipping.

"Apparently, my parents make this whole f***ing lecture saying how demonic the game is, that there's spells and demonic art that can make us devil worshipers. Witchcraft is bad. It's a dangerous game. God wouldn't appreciate us worshipping sorcery and demonic beings," said the Redditor.

The 22-year-old said he grew up playing Yu-Gi-Oh! and recently started playing the game again. He also said he taught his 9-year-old brother to play the game for the past one year.

"We were so bonded together through master duel playing with each other deck after deck. Along comes our EXTREMELY RELIGIOUS PARENTS. They complained about us playing Apex Legends, a shooting game. So, I decided to move away from shooting games and involve him in Yugioh," he explained.

The Redditor said his parents forced his little brother to delete the game as it was supposedly dangerous and demonic. He advised parents to be actively involved in their children's video games and have fun with them instead of being biased and angry about the video games they play.
