Gamescom Asia 2023 Sets New Record as Singapore’s Leading Gaming Event

Gamescom Asia 2023 wrapped up last week at the Suntec Convention and Exhibition Centre in Singapore with a record-breaking attendance, setting a new standard that brought together gamers and enthusiasts alike.

From October 19 to 22, Singapore became the epicenter of gaming as more than 34,000 visitors and 136 exhibitors from 67 countries flocked to the packed exhibition halls.

Open from October 20 to 22, the Entertainment Zone was a gamers’ paradise. From exclusive game previews to exciting tournaments, it had it all. Attendees had access to over 100 game titles, ranging from unreleased games to classic favorites like Resident Evil, Street Fighter, and Devil May Cry.

Various gaming areas were also set up to cater to different tastes, encompassing indie games, vintage classics, and board games. These zones provided a rich variety of gaming experiences, catering to the preferences of various gaming enthusiasts.

Some of the exhibitors that graced the Entertainment Zone included 4Divinity, Arc System Works, Epicsoft Asia, Make Waves, Neopets, and gaming giants like PlayStation, SEGA, and Ubisoft.

The Main Stage, meanwhile, featured an impressive lineup of celebrity appearances and live performances, including notable figures such as Monster Hunter series producer, Ryozo Tsujimoto.

Voice actors Molly Zhang, Craig Lee Thomas, Su Ling Chan, and Emily Sun, who all contributed their talents to the main characters in Honkai: Star Rail, were also present, adding to the excitement.

Fans at the event also had the pleasure to meet and chat with popular cosplayers, such as Charess and Kitz Cua, along with getting up close with the talented voice actors from Street Fighter 6 and Honkai: Star Rail.

There was also the CAPCOM Pro Tour 2023 Offline Premiere that saw Gachikun, a renowned Japanese fighting game talent, conquer the battles in the Street Fighter 6 arena.

The Trade Zone featured insights from global industry experts, with over 4,200 trade attendees and 40 talks covering the latest gaming trends, game design, business strategies, and more.

Gamescom Asia 2023 has left fans eagerly anticipating the next edition, scheduled to return from October 17 to 20, 2024.
