Wizards of the Coast is set to launch "Outlaws of Thunder Junction," the latest expansion for the globally acclaimed trading card game, Magic: The Gathering (MTG). This new set introduces players to a lawless frontier plane where the line between good and bad is blurred, inviting players to embrace their inner outlaw as they vie for fortune and glory.

"Outlaws of Thunder Junction" will be available in full for tabletop play on April 19, with exclusive Prerelease experiences taking place from April 12 to April 18. Players in Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand will also have the opportunity to participate in a treasure hunt starting from April 12, with a special Bounty Card in hand, offering island-wide prizes.

Welcome to Thunder Junction, where brazen outlaws and warped morals reign supreme. The mysterious Omenpaths have opened, drawing villains from across the Multiverse to this new frontier of opportunity. The coveted prize? The treasures of Maag Taranau, also known as "The Vault." Led by the infamous wayfaring villain, Oko, players will join his heist-crew featuring the most wanted criminals from across the Multiverse. Will Oko's son, Kellan, choose to stand against them or join their ranks?

In Thunder Junction, criminals run amok, giving rise to a new creature type known as "Outlaws." But that's not the only innovation in this expansion. Devious-minded criminals can "Plot," exiling cards face-up for later use without paying their mana cost. Additionally, the "Spree" mechanic grants instants and sorceries with chaotic effects that can be paid with an additional cost. Every outlaw needs their trusty "Mount," which can be activated by tapping creatures with total power equal to or greater than the Mount creature's Saddle value, granting powerful additional abilities.

Crime runs rampant in Thunder Junction, and players won't play by the rules. Any action targeting an opponent or their resources is classified as committing a "Crime," unlocking exclusive reprints in the Breaking News Bonus Sheet. Players can find Breaking News cards in every Play Booster pack, with a chance to earn textured foil versions in Collector Booster packs.

Gangs from all over will risk everything to uncover the mysteries of The Vault, a subset of Standard-legal cards in this set. Players who unlock The Vault's contents gain access to 30 different Mythic Rares, appearing in striking Vault Frame and Raised Foil treatments.

The Vault is opened during the media prerelease event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

"Outlaws of Thunder Junction" features stunning card treatments, including Borderless Art cards, Full-Art Basic Lands, and Wanted Poster showcase treatments exclusive to Thunder Junction's most notorious characters. These cards, along with 10 Special Guests available in foil and nonfoil, can be found in Play Boosters and Collector Boosters.
