Jude Law's Star Wars: Skeleton Crew Series Has Wrapped Filming

The stunt team behind Star Wars: Skeleton Crew have confirmed that the Jude Law-led Disney+ series has wrapped filming ahead of its expected premiere later this year.

As reported by Deadline, stunt coordinator George Cottle marked the end of production by sharing a video on Instagram to extend his gratitude towards the rest of the crew and to share his enthusiasm for the upcoming live-action Star Wars series.

"That's a Wrap on Skeleton Crew!!" Cottle reportedly wrote in the caption of his video. "Once again I was lucky enough to be surrounded by some of the most amazing stunt performers I have ever worked with!! I fell so lucky to work with you all! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication! So so excited for this one!"

It appears that Cottle has since removed the alleged video, but he wasn't the only crew member to celebrate the moment. Stunt actor Juliana Potter also shared an Instagram Stories post, saying, "Going to miss my Star Wars: Skeleton Crew stunt family. So grateful. Can't wait for the world to see what's in store."

As for what's in store, there has been very little information about the series so far, only that it's an Amblin-esque coming-of-age story about a group of kids lost in space around the same timeframe as The Mandalorian, and that it was initially codenamed "Grammar Rodeo." 

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew was first announced by Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau at Star Wars Celebration 2022, and creator Jon Watts later revealed the following: "It's the story of their journey trying to find their way home. It stars four kids, but it is not a kids show."

The series is expected to premiere sometime this year alongside lots of new live-action, animation content and a major video game from the galaxy far, far away. The second season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch is currently underway, and The Mandalorian Season 3 is up next.
