‘Kitaria Fables’ Wins Big At Indonesia Game Awards 2022
Celebrating the best games from the region.
The recently concluded Indonesian Game Developer Exchange 2022 gathered the best game developers and icons from the Southeast Asian gaming industry. The event also hosted the annual Indonesia Game Awards, which is aimed at celebrating local developers and their games, some of which have been published internationally.
The games were judged with certain criteria such as creativity and innovation in mind, and the games must be released between July 2021 to August 2022.
Here are the winners for each category.
Best Art - Samudra
Developed by Khayalan Arts, the game deserves the award thanks to its charming visuals and great art direction.
Best Narrative - The Sun Shines Over Us
The Sun Shines Over Us by Eternal Dream Studio was awarded the Best Narrative award. This comes as no surprise, considering how gripping and engaging the visual novel is.
Best Gameplay - Kitaria Fable
The farming simulator grabs the Best Gameplay award. The game is on Steam and is 45 per cent off as at the time of writing.
Best Mobile Game - When The Past Was Around

Game of The Year - Kitaria Fables
The game brought home the biggest award of the Indonesia Game Awards 2022. Developed by Twin Hearts, the farming simulator has proven to be one of the best games of the year according to the esteemed panel of judges.
The unique gameplay managed to set the game apart from the rest of the competition, which makes it the strongest candidate for the title.
Honorary Award - Mohammad Fahmi Hasni
The late Mohammad Fahmi Hasni was awarded the Honorary Award post-humously for his contribution to Coffee Talk. Coffee Talk is one of the best story-driven games in recent times. In fact, the title brought home multiple awards at the SEA Games Awards 2022.
