MPL PH: Two Teams Fined US$3,000 For Unprofessional Behaviour

Nexplay EVOS and Smart Omega have been issued penalties after their players displayed unprofessional behaviour during a Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines (MPL PH) match recently.

According to ONE Esports, the MPL PH Operating Committee have reviewed the matter and fined both organizations US$3,000 after they were found guilty of breaching the tournament’s rules and regulations.

In addition to the fine, several players from both organizations will no longer be eligible to receive MPL PH Season 8’s personal awards.

Meanwhile, Dogie will be suspended for the following two matches and has to pay an extra US$500 fine for striking a prohibited pose post-game.

“We want to reinforce that competitive integrity is one of our core values as a league. Any team or player is subject to the rulebook and guidelines as stipulated within, and they must take full ownership and accountability of what they’ve done,” Moonton said in a statement on Facebook.

“We will continuously strive towards becoming one of, if not the best, MOBA esports leagues and we will not let these incidents dampen the joy of competing,” the statement read.
