Selangor Cyber Games 2016 Happening This Weekend
Attention all e-Sports fans and gamers. The Selangor Cyber Games International 2016 will be happening this weekend from 9th to 11th September 2016 at The Square @ One City, Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. This will be the 3rd SCG held, organised by the Selangor State Sports Council and partners, including Mineski Events Team and Big Machinez. The event is open to all with free entries.
This year’s edition of the Selangor Cyber Games features eight e-sports tournaments, with an impressive prize pool of over RM350,000. Listed below are the tournaments, with its respective designated prize pools:
1. MPGL SEA Championship (Dota 2) – $50,000 USD (~RM200,000)
2. Selangor Cyber Games League of Legends Cup - $15, 000 USD (~RM60,000)
3. SCG Amateur Dota 2 Cup – RM 20,000
4. SCG CS: GO Cup – RM 20,000
5. SCG FIFA 16 Cup – RM 20,000
6. SCG Hearthstone Cup – RM 10,000
7. SCG Ultra Street Fighter V Cup – RM 10,000
8. SCG Clash Royale Cup – RM 10,000
The highlight of the whole event, the Dota 2 MPGL SEA Championship, will be hosted by Eri Neeman. Featuring the best teams from Southeast Asia and China, which includes FNATIC, MVP, EHOME, White Fries, Execration, WG Unity, Mineski, Wergami and more.
Other highlights include eSports celebrities such as Godz, WinteR, ODpixel, Sheever, Flava, and eGG’s own Danelie. Local celebrity Nabil Ahmad will be hosting the Selangor Cyber Games League of Legends Cup Finals on Day 2 and interacting with fans as well as giving away prizes.
To those who can’t make it to the Selangor Cyber Games, fret not, as the entire tournament will be broadcasted live on Astro’s eGG channel 808 and Twitch.
Besides the seven eSports tournaments, visitors can drop by the Acer booth and experience gaming on the powerful Predator Gaming Series machines provided there.
