Alongside confirming writing was underway on the God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn shows and showing off something Patapon-related, Sony has shared a quick look at the upcoming Gravity Rush movie.

The footage, which you can watch here, was revealed during Sony's CES 2024 press conference and we get a quick glimpse of a character leaping off a building. It then starts to cut back and forth between a motion capture session from the film and footage of the movie itself.

The last shot is of the character diving into a floating city that is being destroyed by some giant winged demon foe.

The footage appeared in a video of Sony employees talking about Torchlight, Sony Pictures Entertainment's latest advanced visualization facility that will help bring its future projects to life. Gravity Rush wasn't discussed or even mentioned beyond text and footage on the screen, but it's nice to get a glimpse nonetheless!

It was reported back in 2022 that PlayStation Productions and Scott Free Productions were working on a Gravity Rush movie and that Secret Society of Second Born Royals' Anna Mastro was set to direct.

As for Prime Video's God of War and Netflix's Horizon Zero Dawn shows, Sony shared a quick update that writing was currently underway on both projects. Once again, no further info was given, but progress is always a wonderful thing.

Lastly, Sony showed a Patapon... something? During the Torchlight section, Andy Davis, President, Production Administration of Columbia Pictures, was talking about the studio is a place where "animation, marketing, television, and PlayStation" can all come and experiment.

While he was talking, we caught a glimpse of what we know as Patapon before it switched to a new version of it. As Patapon in a new graphics style was shown, the words "IP Development Gaming / Anime" were shown. This could mean a Patapon anime is in the works... or possibly a game... or something else.. or nothing at all? We will report back when we learn more!
